19 of Medvedev's 21 victories have been achieved on hard courts
A resurgent Medvedev won his first championship for nearly 30 months with success over Frenchman Moutet in the Almaty Open title decider.
The Russian, a ex- number one, has endured a challenging year, managing just a single victory at the big events and experiencing a meltdown at the US Open.
His varied form on the professional circuit - and difficulties with his serve in specific - resulted in him falling of the top ten and eventually separating with long-term mentor his previous coach.
Presently training with Thomas Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, Medvedev has steadily progressed in the past month - climaxing in a tightly fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 victory over opponent Corentin Moutet.
This represents his initial trophy after the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hardcourt since March of 2023.
The win also indicates the Russian has achieved twenty-one championships at twenty-one various events.
"It's the first time I'm at a competition with my children together, so to win a championship is really nice," said world number 14 Medvedev.
"This championship is in honour of my younger daughter my daughter, because the first title I got when my first daughter her name was born was for her."
The athlete, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his past six championship matches, featuring in the German tournament earlier this year.
Medvedev's counter-punching approach and frequent reactions on the playing surface had led commentators to wonder if his skill to perform at the top level was finished.
However the player has implemented adjustments in the past month, attempting to advance forward and perform aggressively, supported by an enhanced serve.
He came back from a disadvantage in the first set against the challenging Frenchman, securing 4 of the concluding five games to go ahead.
The pair exchanged break points in the following set before the challenger, attempting for his maiden professional title, seized the initiative to create a final set.
The opponent rescued four early break points in a close third set before Medvedev secured a break to fifteen to serve for the match.
Fittingly, he secured victory with a rally at the net area, with his opponent incapable to manage a shot after two hours and 38 minutes.
